Middle Software Engineer (PHP + React)

Hybrid, Remote Colombia Medellín We’re looking for a Middle Software Engineer to join a growing team supporting and improving a production platform. This role combines technical support, debugging, and hands-on development, making it ideal for engineers who enjoy solving production issues, improving system stability, and collaborating across teams

Key Responsibilities

• Handle L2 support tickets by investigating, debugging, and resolving production issues
• Perform root cause analysis and propose long-term solutions
• Implement code fixes and minor enhancements using PHP and React
• Participate in on-call rotations for critical incidents when needed
• Collaborate with Support, QA, Product, and Engineering teams
• Improve platform stability by addressing recurring issues
• Maintain technical documentation for known issues and fixes

Requirements

• 3+ years of commercial experience as a Software Engineer
• Strong hands-on experience with PHP (Laravel or similar frameworks)
• Solid knowledge of React and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
• Experience working with and debugging REST APIs
• Good understanding of SQL databases (MySQL or PostgreSQL)
• Experience with:
  • Bug fixing
  • Incident investigation
  • Production support environments
• Familiarity with Git workflows and pull requests
• Experience using issue tracking tools such as Jira
