Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an experienced Process Simulation and Modeling professional to join our team at the Global Manufacturing Excellence (GME).

At GME, we offer top-notch technical support to refineries, NGLF, and petrochemical plants and its affiliates worldwide, including facilities in Saudi Arabia.

As a Process Simulation & modeling expert, your main responsibility will be to provide expert guidance and support to de-bottleneck process operations and optimize through process simulation technologies. You will lead improvement initiatives for all operating departments within our Global Manufacturing Portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Align Process Simulation & Optimization with corporate goals, monitoring KPIs for improvement.
  • Develop dynamic/steady state simulation models for refineries and NGL fractionations.
  • Utilize specialized software for process simulations, optimizing refinery performance.
  • Maintain accurate thermodynamic models, validating results against plant data.
  • Identify process enhancements, proposing cost-effective modifications.
  • Conduct feasibility studies to enhance yields and operational efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot complex models, improving process operations and economics.
  • Assess safety implications of process changes, ensuring compliance.
  • Lead technical sessions and provide expertise to operations and maintenance teams.
  • Conduct benchmarks and pilot studies, evaluating simulation technologies.
  • Review standards and act as an SME for GME departments.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to gather data and inputs for simulations.
  • Communicate results effectively through reports and presentations.
  • Collaborate with engineers, vendors, and researchers to advance simulation tools.
  • Stay informed about industry standards and technological advancements.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering. Additionally, a minimum of 15 years of experience with Process Simulation and Modeling technologies is required (20+ years is preferred).
  • Demonstrated expertise in process engineering and flowsheet-based processes simulation.
  • Comprehensive understanding of refinery facilities, feedstock/product movements, margins, giveaways, process yields, and mass and energy balances.
  • Familiarity with international standards and specifications for advanced process control process modeling.
  • Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills in the field of advanced process solutions.
  • Strong leadership skills to effectively manage technical discussions and guide technical teams.
